Kangxi Six-Characters Mark
Delicately potted and surmounted on a short foot，the steep sides rising towards a gently everted rim，the exterior intricately painted with an early spring scene and design of plum blossom representing flower of November. The reverse inscribed with a ten-character poem in ‘kaishu’，and a seal mark，the base inscribed in underglaze-blue with a six-character mark within double circles.
‘Simple beauty like a tree frozen with snow.
Branches moving in the wind full of clear fragrance.’
